Te Ara Tupua Alliance, Tawharau PODs

Working with the Te Ara Tupua Alliance, a pure alliance between Downer, HEB and Tonkin & Taylor working for NZTA and working with Taranaki Whānui ki Te Upoko o Te Ika

The Tawharau PODs, the first work undertaken as part of the Alliance scope was delivered as part of the reestablishment of Taranaki Whānui ki Te Upoko o Te Ika on the Honiana Te Puni reserve. The buildings are used to undertake carving for the Te Ara Tupua project

McDonnell Green were engaged to deliver the Tawharau PODs, the buildings were designed, consented and built to be placed in a temporary location for the duration of the Alliance main construction project, to then be permanently located in the Honiana Te Puni Reserve upon completion of the coastal reclamation and cycleway. We worked with MOD POD to construct and place the buildings onsite
